Laura, it was last year when the economy tanked that Edy's made the change. They're also the smaller, squattier containers, but for the same price as they were before. I guess companies didn't think we'd notice the containers getting smaller moreso than noticing a price going up? Who knows.

Whey can be used for protein supplement or for milk-like qualities in foods. It's also probably a lot cheaper for them to buy whey than quality milk or cream - so adding more to the product would reduce their cost for the same profit.

I can still taste that incredible icecream! In fact everything made with the fresh pumpkin--bread & ravioli included. I froze the pumpkin for our long trip to Chicago. I started thinking of freezing pumpkin for the long season when fresh pumkpin is not available. SCARY because I have been scoping out pumpkins I see pushed aside in friends yards now thinking, dare I ask?

Oh Johnny Thats looks so amazing! Christina isn't it crazy how good real food tastes? I made a real pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving by roasting our homegrown pumpkins and it was so so so good. I won't go back to tinny pumpkin.

Wonder why whey is in the new fun flavors to thicken? What is it used for exactly? I like to make my own anyway, so much better!
